The Board of Sumac Microfinance Bank Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Sheila A M Kariuki as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
Mrs. Kariuki holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. She is a graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University, UK and also holds an ILM Diploma from Strathmore University.
She is a member of the Women Corporate Directors (WCD), Kenya Chapter, and also a member of the Society of Human Resource Practitioners [SHRP]. She equally has a membership in the Institute of Human Resource Management [IHRM]. Mrs. Kariuki has over 20 years of experience working at Board and Senior Management Level. Her interaction with various boards over the years in different capacities are essential to the role she plays at Sumac Microfinance Bank.
She is currently the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Resource Associates Limited, a Human Resource Consultancy firm that she has steered for the last 18 years. She is an ICF certified Executive Leadership Coach supporting C-suite leaders in the industry and a Consummate Business Advisor on various areas including organizational culture change, mergers and acquisitions, rebranding, restructuring and strategic realignments. She is also an Executive headhunter.
She previously worked at Dale Carnegie as a Senior Business Consultant and also as a Business Development Consultant for KPMG Training Solutions.
