Sumac Microfinance Bank was the main sponsor of the Kiambu Golf Tournament (Golf Night), held on April 12, 2019 at the Kiambu Golf Club. The leading Microfinance Bank, which was last year voted the 2nd Fastest Growing Microfinance Bank at the Think Business Banking Awards 2018, has taken its liberty to indulge business across the country, hence this kind of sponsorship.
The tournament saw a record participation of 100 golfers drawn from different sectors of the business world. Some of the golfers are veterans with years of experience, and there were new entrants too, mostly amateur golfers seeking to throw their hats into the ring.
The day was eventful indeed, and it was crowned with an evening to celebrate the winners during an awards ceremony held at the Club House.
Sumac Chairman Kibatha Njoroge was full of praise for his team, saying most of the directors and shareholders of Sumac were men and women who carried immense reputation for their contribution to the development of the country at large. Whilst introducing the directors present, the Chairman reiterated Sumac’s commitment to the business community in Kiambu, and that the bank will always open its doors to any business person who wants to advance the agenda of posterity for their ventures.
